What’s worse than a drunk driver? How about a moving and grooving DUI driver waving firearms about while he drives down a highway? While the dancing may not have been too dangerous (unless the drunk driver had some serious moves), this Florida man’s inebriated driving, coupled with his reckless gun-waving, was plenty cause for concern.

Police arrested a Palm Coast, Florida, man after they saw him ‘waving two guns and dancing in his car’ while he drove drunk

Police in Palm Coast, Florida, likely had to look twice when they saw a man dancing and waving two guns around as he drove down the Palm Coast Parkway. After all, everyone’s heard their share of “Florida man” stories. But that still might not prepare you for such an odd spectacle.

Needless to say, the sheriff’s deputies in the area wanted to learn a little more about the dancing man. A deputy pulled the Florida man over. Thankfully, the driver complied and pulled off to the side of the road. According to the arrest records, the 28-year-old Floridian and his passenger hopped out of the vehicle, at which point the cops put the dancing duo in handcuffs.

He must’ve been quite intoxicated. The driver reportedly asked the arresting officers why he was under arrest. While they were still at the scene, police asked the vehicle’s occupants if they had any guns in the car. A bit rhetorical, really, given the fact that they had seen the driver “waving guns around.”

Get this: the drunk Florida man was a convicted felon. And the guns? He told police they belonged to his brother. Either way, depending on the status of their crimes, felons may not be allowed to own or even possess guns.

More worryingly, police say they found an eight-month-old child in the car. In response to questions about his drinking, the man said he had “one beer maybe,” per the Observer. However, the DUI arrestee later slurred an amendment to his statement, saying he had “one or two cups” of beer.
