The tow truck was already hooked up when things went sideways at an Orlando apartment complex. Florida deputies said a man showed up angry, carrying a knife. Apparently, he decided he wasn’t letting his girlfriend’s car go without a fight.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. Sunday at the Ashton at Waterford Lakes Apartments

A driver working the lot reported he was hauling away a vehicle without the required decal when 45-year-old Florida resident Jose Reinardo Rosado stepped in.

According to investigators, Rosado cut the towing strap with his knife. He then used the truck’s handheld remote as a weapon, cracking the driver in the forehead.

At that point, deputies said Rosado wasn’t finished.

Florida Man swiped the truck’s keys and bolted from the scene

The escape didn’t last long. Responding officers caught up to him nearby and recovered both the knife and the stolen keys.

The injured driver identified him on the spot, and paramedics treated the cut without needing to take him to the hospital.

From there, the list of charges stacked up fast

Rosado now faces aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, robbery with a deadly weapon, battery, criminal mischief, and “petit theft.” He was booked into the Orange County Jail, Fox 35 Orlando shared.

Officials added that video evidence also tied him to the attack, though nothing about his prior record has been released. What’s clear is that an amped-up towing dispute spiraled into a late-night scuffle that left one worker hurt and Florida Man facing a pile of felony counts.
