Driving is dangerous. But you can make it safer for yourself and everyone else around you by paying attention, driving sober, and keeping your ego in check. Tragically, no amount of good driving can prepare stationary motorists for an out-of-control drunk driver behind the wheel of a huge RAM dually pickup truck.

Even after this driver caused complete carnage at a red light, he chose to run from the police. Fortunately, that didn’t go so well for him.

A drunk driver in Lehigh Acres, Florida, slammed a RAM dually pickup truck into stationary cars at a red light

A harrowing video captures the moment that a drunk driver paid no attention to stopped traffic at a red light in Lehigh Acres, Florida. The footage is courtesy of a traffic camera near the intersection, and shows a driver in a red RAM dually pickup truck speeding toward stationary cars.

Instead of slowing down to stop at the red light, however, 40-year-old Neil Simoga made no attempt to stop. A RAM dually, like a RAM 3500, can weigh around 7,000 lbs. It all depends on the spec, generation, and how much cargo is aboard. Needless to say, a stationary BMW convertible stands no chance against it.

But the truck’s momentum wasn’t going to be stopped by the drop-top BMW 4 Series. The RAM plowed through the first car, pushing it into other vehicles at the intersection, per WFLA. All told, the drunk driver involved four other vehicles in its red light rampage.

Despite his best hide-and-seek attempt, police caught him and charged him with 10 felonies

In Simoga’s infinite wisdom, he decided to make a run for it. As expected, the drunk driver didn’t make it far. Shortly after leaving the scene of the multiple-car crash, Simoga lost control of the dually, running it off the road and into some vegetation.

Not long after his failed getaway attempt, police and K-9 units closed in and arrested Simoga. Get this: the police dog on the scene was named “Vader.” Certainly not the furry adversary you’d want to face while hiding in the bushes.

Simoga is looking at 10 felony charges: nine counts of DUI with property damage and one count of hit-and-run after the debacle. Check out the video for yourself below!
