Georgia police say a driver was killed by their own minivan in Gordon County
There are several unfortunate realities of driving, and one is that car wrecks happen every day. Some car crashes are worse than others, but they all leave some lasting impact. Currently, Georgia police officers are investigating a fatal accident in which it looks like someone may have been run over by their own vehicle. Of course, it’s still unclear exactly what happened.
This is a pretty puzzling fatal car accident, but it’s still tragic nonetheless
According to WSB TV, a truck driver called the police on the morning of March 30th to report a fatal car accident. However, the driver didn’t actually see the car wreck. Instead, the person spotted an empty minivan and a body lying near it. This was in Gordon County on Interstate 75 Northbound. Specifically, this happened at around 8:27 a.m. at an entrance ramp.
Deputies with the Gordon County Sheriff’s office, as well as fire rescue, soon showed up at the scene of the fatal accident. They located the body and contacted more law enforcement and the coroner. The authorities then noted that there were signs that the deceased person had been run over by a vehicle. Readers should know that the nearby minivan was in gear, and the motor was still running.
Police officers found no signs of foul play at the scene of the fatal accident. They also said they didn’t believe there was anyone else involved. The police later received confirmation from the victim’s family that they were driving the minivan at the time of the car wreck. Local authorities are still piecing together what led to the person being run over by their own vehicle.
