Some people just shouldn’t drive. And this Las Vegas woman might be a prime example. She reportedly crashed her Jeep into a local watering hole at upwards of 60 mph with an open container in her vehicle.

Worse yet, she told the police that another car had rear-ended her just before the Cherokee smashed through the wall. She might want to try taking the bus for a while.

An unlicensed drunk driver plowed her Jeep Cherokee into a Las Vegas bar at 60 mph

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a 31-year-old woman was behind the wheel when a black fifth-generation Jeep Cherokee smashed through the wall of Dino’s Lounge, an old-school neighborhood dive bar near the Stratosphere.

She was reportedly drunk at the time and had an open container in her car. Police didn’t hesitate to arrest her for a DUI. Make no mention of the extensive damage to Dino’s Lounge.

To make things worse, the driver didn’t have a valid Nevada license at the time. And it does make things worse for the drunk driver.

While it’s a misdemeanor crime in Nevada, even a first-time violator could get up to six months in jail or a fine of up to $1,000, per Shouse Law. A first-time DUI in the Silver State can also net some jail time. Really, it’s best to maintain your license and never drink and drive.

She told police she had been rear-ended before crashing into Dino’s Lounge

The Las Vegas woman allegedly told police that another car had crashed into the rear-end of her Jeep, forcing her into the wall of Dino’s. However, when authorities surveyed the wounded Jeep, they found no indication of a rear-end impact.

Fortunately for fans and frequent visitors to Dino’s, the owner told local media that the Las Vegas lounge would open its doors again just days after the crash.
