Road rage isn’t a uniquely American phenomenon. In a recent road rage video, a Canadian road hosted a fiendish attempt by a Toyota SUV driver to harm the driver of a Honda sedan. Unfortunately, the aggressor was so obsessed with getting even that they rammed the car repeatedly, even as it headed for a police station.

A Canadian road rage video shows the horrifying lengths an angry Toyota SUV driver went to hurt another motorist

“I’m in danger. I’m in danger.” A motorist in a midsize sedan was on the phone with authorities on a snowy Canadian road. The driver was noticeably scared on the phone call as a white Toyota SUV sped up to his rear bumper.

Video footage shows the SUV slamming into the rear-end of the Honda Accord. The first hit on the video shows the impact prying the Toyota’s hood out of its forward latch and cracking portions of the fascia. In the Accord, the driver struggled to keep control.

He told authorities he was driving a Honda Accord, hoping that they would be able to help with the dire situation. However, the video doesn’t capture the driver disclosing the make and model of the aggressor’s SUV. It was a white, fourth-generation Toyota RAV4, an extremely popular SUV in North America.

The camera footage showed the RAV4 attempting to force the Accord to spin on a bridge. Dispatch instructed the driver to follow directions to a nearby police station. However, the Toyota driver refused to relinquish the road rage. “Yes, he’s still following me towards the cop station.”

The video then shows another impact, this time sending the Accord sliding toward a roadside business. Mind you, all of this is happening on a busy road with other motorists zooming by in the opposite direction.

Fortunately, local authorities reported that they used a tire deflation device (TDD) to end the madness. The spike strip stopped the Toyota SUV, and police arrested the road rage driver. Even Canadians can lose their cool.
