Deer Gets Revenge for Being Shot by Smashing Hunter’s Truck
On one hand, good job to this hunter for bagging a deer. On the other hand, this was the wrong deer to mess with. After getting shot, it flung itself onto the hunter’s truck, causing substantial damage. The owner immediately tried to file an insurance claim.
Angry deer smashes truck after being shot
Are y’all enjoying deer season? If yes, you might be having a better time than one hunter from Arkansas who got left with an expensive repair bill.
He parked his truck along an embankment and took a trek to his deer stand on a windy day. Conditions didn’t seem the best for hunting, but to his surprise, he spotted a doe that stepped out of the pines.
The hunter lined up his shot with a Ruger bolt action .30-06 and took a quarting-to shot. He was still excited even though the deer didn’t drop and ran toward his Ram 1500 instead. According to Outdoor Life, he expected a short drag.
Then the doe went missing, and he searched all over for it before giving up and heading back to his truck. However, the doe was found lying in front of the Ram truck. The windshield was smashed, and blood was on the hood.
Turns out, the deer fell off the 16-foot embankment and landed on the windshield. His insurance claim didn’t meet the deductible, leaving him with a $600 to $800 repair bill.
Then he had to drive out of the woods from the passenger side of the Ram 1500. Due to snow and sleet, he stopped multiple times to clean the windshield with a towel.
He felt awkward as he passed a police officer while going through town in the passenger seat. But luckily, he wasn’t pulled over.
