Things in Canada must be pretty wild. Police officers fired shots at a stolen truck but the driver didn’t stop. Instead, he hit a house and the truck exploded. The driver also hit multiple squad cars during his crime spree.

Canadian police opened fire on a stolen truck then it exploded

Honestly, this story feels like it’s out of Florida instead of Canada. Winnipeg police officers spotted a stolen truck heading northbound on Home Street, between Portage and St.Matthews.

They blocked off a single lane of traffic with a police cruiser in an attempt to stop the speeding Ford F-250. The truck hit a police car, then reversed and hit another.

Then the driver floored it towards police officers and they opened fire. Through a hail of bullets, the truck swerved around the roadblock and turned into a neighborhood.

According to Yahoo, this is when the driver lost control of the Ford truck and hit a home. A large fuel tank in the rear exploded, causing the home and truck to erupt into flames.

The driver, identified as a 48-year-old man, and a 29-year-old female passenger jumped out of the truck and attempted to flee on foot. They were quickly apprehended. Firefighters quickly arrived to battle the blaze. It took about an hour to get the fire under control.

Luckily, no one was injured, but residents are pretty shaken up. They’re upset that police officers fired their guns so close to the neighborhood. Multiple families were playing outside with their kids at the time.
