A Ford dealer in Buellton, California, just shared an endearing clip of one of its longtime customers gushing over her heavily used pickup. Beverly’s six-speed manual 2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty Power Stroke diesel has 335,000 miles on it…all clocked in by the lady herself.

Her first truck was a two-ton 1945 cab-over three-speed that she bought for 25 bucks. “We hauled hay with it on the ranch.” She got her driver’s license at age 13, during World War II. “I’ve been driving stick shift for 78 years, and I could not do without a Ford truck.”

Ford made the 7.3-liter Power Stroke diesel engine from 1994 to 2003. The 2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty can tow up to 10,000 lbs conventionally. Add another 4,500 lbs if you’ve got a fifth-wheel hitch.

According to owners, the 7.3L Power Strike diesel engine was quite durable, withstanding much “abuse.” Words like “stout” are used to describe it.

This also seems to be the case for Beverly, who bought the F-250 new. The floor shift’s dial odometer reads 335,987. “It’s a great truck,” she asserts, “I couldn’t believe how this truck has held up.”

At the time, a 2000 Ford F-250 went for between $20,575 and $24,895. Today, KBB estimates the truck’s value between $7K and $8K…but we doubt Beverly gives a you-know-what about its market worth.

Bev’s been a Jim Vreeland Ford customer since 1983. “I’m grateful for everything they’ve done over all these years with all the trucks we’ve had.”

The dealership captioned the video with a note of thanks to Beverly’s trust in Ford and its business. “Thank you, Bev, for your unwavering loyalty and for sharing your story with us. We’re proud to know that your Super Duty is in such great hands! Here’s to many more miles together!”
