Texas man gets trapped in Dodge dealership and calls police for help

38-year-old Jeremiah Magellan faces up to two years in prison after breaking into a Dodge dealership and calling the police on himself. He panicked, thinking he was trapped inside the main showroom.

He threw a truck through a window at the Patterson Dodge in Tyler, Texas, and climbed through the shattered glass. During the process, he cut himself.

Megallon had a slight panic and was afraid to climb through the broken glass to escape. So, he called the police for help. According to Car Scoops, police officers shared that the showroom’s side doors could be opened from the inside, despite being locked out the outside.

He didn’t get away with any cool cars like the Dodge Charger. The only thing he took was some candy off of an employee’s desk. Also, he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Megallon was booked into jail and charged with burglary of a business. He may face up to two years in prison and a $10,000 fine. If he would’ve tried the side doors, he could have let himself out and escaped the cops.

However, cutting himself on glass and getting sugar-high from stolen candy must have clouded his judgment.
