The ‘Annoying’ Buc-ee’s Truck Rule Just Got Worse
While the majority of drivers lose their minds when they see a Buc-ee’s gas station, truckers glare. The chain has a few restrictions against larger vehicles that seem pretty unfair. A new addition to the policy just made things even more annoying for truck drivers.
The Buc-ee’s truck policy just got even more annoying
Did you know that semi-trucks are banned from every single Buc-ee’s location? That means truckers are allowed to deliver loads of snacks, gear, and fill up the gas tanks. Then they have to move along.
They can’t take mandated breaks there or shut down for the night. But now the gas station is taking things to the next level by banning commercial trailers.
Darren Nichols was at A Buc-ee’s in Bastrop, Texas, when he was asked to leave due to the alleged new policy. He stopped for gas and breakfast when an attendant knocked on his truck window, saying he needed to speak with the manager.
In my opinion, the manager should have approached the truck, but oh well. Then the manager explained that in addition to semi-trucks, all locations now prohibit commercial vehicles pulling trailers.
However, he shared images of bright yellow signs that say, “NO COMMERCIAL TRAILERS.” Still, interrupting the man’s breakfast was pretty rude.
This ban includes dump trucks and work trucks with equipment trailers. However, he claims that he saw at least 50 tree service trucks pulling trailers, fueling up. Many truckers refer to this policy as being annoying.
According to Express News, the ban is in place because the company’s parking lots and driveways aren’t designed to accommodate truckers. Instead, they’re intended for passenger cars.
