It’s fun to admire the car collections of the rich and famous. Who doesn’t love to imagine owning and driving beautiful vehicles? Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton, however, takes collecting cars to a new, awe-inspiring level. Here are five cars he owns and drives when he’s off the racetrack.

2006 Mercedes CLK GTR

The now-defunct line of luxury sedans also had sportier versions, and Hamilton is one of the few owners. Mercedes only built 26 of the 2006 CLK GTR. This exclusive line of roadsters sold for about $1,000,000 each, and they had the features and performance to back up the price.

Armed with a 6.9-liter V12 that could generate 612 hp, this supercar can hit 199 miles per hour and go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in about 3.5 seconds. Although it’s not the fastest car Hamilton owns, it’s one of his rarest.

Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta

Not only is this a fast Ferrari, but it’s also a relatively exclusive one, as Hamilton is one of 209 people who own this Italian supercar. Estimated to be worth about $2,000,000, the LaFerrari Aperta is actually a hybrid. Its 6.3-liter V12 works with an electric motor to generate a combined 950 hp. This makes the LaFerrari Aperta one of the fastest production cars in the world. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.5 seconds, topping out at over 217 miles per hour.

Shelby GT500 CR

Hamilton loves classic cars but he also appreciates modern comforts. That’s why he owns a recreated Shelby GT500. This contemporary recreation of the 1967 GT500 Mustang takes an actual Mustang body and updates pretty much every other part of it. With a 5.0-liter 545-hp V8 engine, it can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in under 5.0 seconds. Hamilton’s recreated GT500 is worth about $150,000, but a brand-new one will cost roughly $200,000.

1967 Shelby 472 Cobra

Hamilton has actual classic vehicles in his collection, too. This vintage sports car comes with a 7.0-liter engine that delivers a whopping 425 hp. It’s not clear if this 472 Cobra is more special than other 472 Cobras, but it is clear that Hamilton likes to drive it casually. Its market value can range from about $50,000 to $150,000.

Pagani Zonda 760 LH

Hamilton owns a specially made, one-off Pagani Zonda with his initials on it. This supercar has a 7.3-liter V12 engine that delivers 760 hp to its lightweight carbon fiber and titanium frame. The Zonda’s high power-to-weight ratio allows it to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.6 seconds, with a top speed of 217 miles per hour.

It’s one of the fastest cars that Hamilton owns, and it’s perfectly street-legal. Hamilton will occasionally drive his Zonda, though he’s mentioned that he doesn’t like its handling. Made just for the racecar driver, you won’t be able to buy Hamilton’s supercar unless he auctions it off. It’s estimated to be worth well over $1,850,000.
