It’s hard to resist a popular SUV like the Toyota RAV4. It’s the best-selling SUV in America! However, one owner isn’t delighted with their ride. So, he shared the top five most annoying features to live with.

Five annoying Toyota RAV4 features

TikTok user and Toyota RAV4 owner, @alex_harshman, is one of the many drivers who decided to buy a Toyota RAV4. Now he has five things to warn potential buyers about.

5 Things I Hate about my Toyota RAV4 ? #fypシ #rav4

1. The style

Alex shared that he hates the way his Toyota RAV4 looks, but that’s pretty subjective. Remember when people thought the PT Cruiser looked good?

Why did he buy an SUV that he thinks is ugly? Also, the model in the video looks like it’s from 2018 or before. The newer generations look sleeker and modern.

I’ve reached out to Alex to see what model year he has and if he is the owner.

    2. The RAV4 is slow

He complains that the RAV4 only has 176 hp and doesn’t go very fast. Allegedly, he lost a deal because someone else beat him to a client. That’s business; if you aren’t early, you’re late.

      3. Storage

Alex claims that the RAV4 doesn’t have a lot of storage. But then he opens the tailgate to show plenty of cargo room. He admits that it actually has lots of storage.

        4. The wheels

We’ve circled back to looks. Apparently, he doesn’t like the plastic rims on his RAV4 model. He could upgrade them, though.

          5. He gets confused for a soccer mom

Alex allegedly gets confused for a soccer mom while driving this Toyota RAV4 model. But how does he know what other drivers are thinking from their cars

Also, soccer moms take kids to sports where they learn about teamwork and build confidence. The soccer mom is an under appreciated member of society.

How much power does the Toyota RAV4 have?

The 2018 RAV4 has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 176 hp and 172 lb-ft of torque. According to Edmunds, it accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in about 9.0 seconds.

In 2019, the RAV4 got a slight increase in power to provide 203 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque, but I’ve reviewed multiple models, and it still feels a little sluggish under harsh acceleration.

The RAV4 Hybrid generates 219 hp and reaches 60 mph in about 7.1 seconds. Also, the RAV4 Prime or PHEV has 302 hp and reaches 60 mph in about 5.5 seconds.

How much cargo space does the RAV4 have?

The RAV4 provides 37.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row and up to 69.8 cubic feet total. It can also tow up to 3,500 lbs, depending on model year and trim level.

It has less cargo space than the Honda CR-V and Hyundai Tucson but more than the Mazda CX-5 and Chevrolet Equinox.

These potential issues don’t seem that bad to me. It has an average amount of space and plenty of power for errands.
