I’m willing to bet that you know people who own a Toyota RAV4. It’s the most popular SUV in America. It has a reputation for being practical and reliable. But there are other Toyota SUVs to consider. Not only will they help you stand out, but they will also last longer.

Toyota SUVs that last longer than the RAV4

There are plenty of reliable Toyota SUVs that will stretch your dollar and value further than the RAV4. For example, the average Toyota RAV4 model is expected to last between 200,000 and 250,000 miles.

With proper maintenance and care, some models have surpassed 300,000 miles. If you drive an average of 15,000 miles per year, then a RAV4 could provide 20 years of service.

1. The Toyota 4Runner

The rugged and capable Toyota 4Runner can easily surpass 200,000 miles. Drivers share that their SUVs even exceed 300,000 miles. Also, there are plenty of examples surviving beyond 400,000 miles thanks to its body-on-frame construction.

The fifth generation model could provide 27 to 30 years of service on the road. Just be careful to keep it clear of rust.

2. The Toyota Highlander

One of the Toyota SUVs that’s often overlooked is the Toyota Highlander. However, this three-row SUV is a survivor. Most models easily make it between 250,000 to 300,000 miles. There are also reports of reaching 400,000 miles.

With regular care and proper maintenance, a Highlander model could provide around 23 years of service on the road. It’s not much bigger than the convenient RAV4 either.

3. Toyota Land Cruiser

The Toyota Land Cruiser might last forever. Drivers report that it easily surpasses 300,000 miles. However, there are reports of these SUVs reaching over 400,000, 500,000, and even 600,000 miles.

It’s engineered to survive about 25 years of service. However, it could make it to 40 and have its own midlife crisis.

4. Toyota Sequoia

According to Flex Motor, the Toyota Sequoia is another long-lasting SUV. The average model can easily make it between 250,000 to 300,000 miles. But they don’t stop there. Drivers report surpassing 400,000 miles.

Thanks to its bulletproof V8 engine, this three-row beast can provide about 27 years of service on the road.
