I’m willing to bet that most drivers aren’t up to date on all the traffic laws that exist. We take the driver’s test when we’re 15. I don’t remember tests from that long ago. But police officers are out there watching, and you might be breaking the rules without even knowing.

3 insane traffic laws you’re breaking without knowing

People have been breaking traffic laws since before cars even existed. Some states still have laws based on when the streets were filled with horse-drawn buggies! But police officers can still enforce these rules even if they seem silly to drivers.

1. Don’t reverse on a public road

In Arizona, it’s illegal to drive backward in the middle of the road. Drivers shall now back the vehicle unless the movement can be made with reasonable safety and without intervening with other traffic.

So, if you accidentally enter the wrong turning lane or miss your turn, don’t reverse unless no one else is around.

    2. Don’t honk at a restaurant

In Arkansas, keep that car honking down. A law states that no one can honk their horn at a restaurant that serves cold beverages or sandwiches after 9 PM. But apparently, if only hot drinks and no sandwiches are served, you’re in the clear.

      3. Don’t drive a black car on Sunday.

For unknown reasons, it’s illegal to drive a black car on Sunday in Denver, Colorado. According to WJTV, roughly 21.6% of vehicle owners in Colorado might break this weird traffic law every week. It must be related to religion.
