There is no denying that Ford makes some of the best cars to buy. Still, this status doesn’t exempt the automaker from recalls. As a result, several popular Ford models on the road today have multiple recalls. The worst part is that some drivers may be unaware that dealerships can fix these issues for free. 

Here are three recent recalls drivers should know. 

Some Ford vehicles with recalls have EcoBoost engines

One of the recent recalls that drivers should be aware of affects Ford vehicles with EcoBoost engines. Specifically, this recall is over those equipped with the 2.7-liter and 3.0-liter units. In total, there are more than 90,000 vehicles from 2021 to 2022 that could be prone to premature engine failure. The Fords in question are the F-150, Bronco, Explorer, and Edge. Some Lincoln vehicles also have this issue. They are the Aviator and Nautilus SUVs. 

So, what is the issue at play that could lead to engine failure for these EcoBoost units? Reports say some of these vehicles have faulty intake valves. In some cases, the valves could break off and fall into the combustion chamber. Of course, no one wants this, so people with these vehicles should check for recall notices and take their cars to their local Ford dealer to ensure they aren’t impacted. 

Another recent recall for Ford vehicles is over transmission problems 

Transmission problems impact all automakers. Notably, several Ford vehicles have been affected by transmission issues, resulting in recent recalls. One example from this year includes several popular nameplates from 2024 and 2025. They are the F-150, Ranger, Mustang, Explorer, and Bronco. The issue also impacts the Lincoln Aviator. 

Recalls are essential for maintaining safety, but this one is especially so. Notably, impacted vehicles could go forward when the vehicle is in park. This malfunction could easily cause car accidents, so letting the auto mechanics at the dealership repair the issue is paramount.

Faulty rearview cameras 

Nowadays, most people rely on rearview cameras instead of mirrors. This is especially true as backup cameras have become increasingly common on the market, including with Ford vehicles. One of the most recent car recalls involves rearview cameras and affects more than 289,000 units. Impacted models could have distorted images, which is a massive safety issue for obvious reasons.

The vehicles in question include the 2015 Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty models, as well as the Ford Expedition from that year. Additionally, the issue impacts the Lincoln Navigator and MKC. These models make up 160,729 of the recalled units. The rest are the 2022 to 2023 Ford Bronco. Readers should note that the issue may appear unexpectedly, with no prior warning.
