The 2026 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X R is more affordable than off-roading rivals
A new opponent has entered the arena. The 2026 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X R is here to challenge off-roading mid-size rivals like the Ford Ranger Raptor and Chevy Colorado ZR2. It has an edge thanks to its price tag.
How much does the 2026 Nissan FrontierPro-4X R cost?
The 2026 Nissan Frontier Pro-4X R has an MSRP of $47,960, and then the $1,695 destination fee increases the starting price to $49,655. It’s the most expensive Frontier model in the lineup, but it manages to stay under $50,000.
Then the 2025 Ford Ranger Raptor starts at $57,315, and the 2026 model could get a price increase. Also, it has a $1,695 destination fee to bring the starting cost up to $59,010.
Next, the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 starts at $52,595. The $2,095 destination fee beefs the starting price up to $54,690. So, the Pro-4X R is thousands cheaper, but what comes with it?
According to Nissan, the 2026 Frontier Pro-4X R build by Roush starts with a Roush Performance Ohlins 2.0 Off-Road suspension system. It provides a two-inch lift and is installed by Roush.
The setup features precision-tuned coilover shocks with external reservoirs to reduce fade during extended use. New upper control arms provide enhanced articulation and durability.
This off-road truck rides on 17-inch titanium finish wheels wrapped in 265/70R15 Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme all-terrain tires. It has a titanium finished skid plate, grille inserts, and lower front fascia.
Lava red tow hooks and R badging complete the look. Plus, the interior features embroidered headrests. It sounds worth it for the savings, but it needs to be put to the test.
