There’s a bit of a plot twist today. A Florida man is the victim in this story instead of the one responsible for doing something crazy. His SUV was repossessed or effectively stolen. Then months later, it was returned with tons of damage.

Florida man gets repossessed SUV back with tons of damage

If you borrow something, you should return it in better condition than you found it. A tow truck company must have missed the memo because it returned a repossessed SUV in worse condition than before.

A man was confused when his Chevrolet Tahoe suddenly went missing during the night. He thought his wife was joking when she asked where the Tahoe was. But it was wrongfully repossessed in November.

When the tow truck returned the SUV, it was clearly damaged. The damage is described as looking like it was “driven through a Jurassic Park tour” due to scratches on the side. Plus, the rear tire is flat, and the tags are missing.

The man’s lap, wallet, social security card, and credit cards were stolen from inside the cabin. He doesn’t know who has his personal items.

A judge granted the seizure of the Tahoe when a 14-year-old case was quietly reopened, even though the plaintiff died in 2021. However, the victim was never served the case and the issue of missing rent occurred months after the lease expired.

According to WFLA, the plaintiff’s attorney agreed to return the SUV and pay related fees. However, the victim wants to take the plaintiff’s representatives to court. He feels as if they should pay to cover the damage to his Chevy Tahoe.
