Private jets promise luxury and exclusivity, but they aren’t immune to onboard drama. Rapper 2 Chainz found this out the hard way when his hired pilots got into a heated argument—allegedly about bathroom access—just before takeoff.

2 Chainz–whose full name is Tauheed K. Epps–boarded his chartered private jet expecting a smooth flight. Instead, he was met with chaos. From his seat, he could see into the cockpit where the two pilots were arguing. He heard the captain begging, “Please, I’m sorry,” while the first officer fired back, “I’m finished.”

Confused, 2 Chainz asked the first officer, “What’s going on, brother?” The answer didn’t exactly calm him down. “We have a slight little problem,” the man replied.

So, naturally, 2 Chainz followed up. “Is the plane okay?”

“Oh yeah, everything’s fine,” the first officer said, but his body language said otherwise.

Then came the kicker. “You’re not going to fly with us anymore?”

The pilot’s response? “No, no, I’ll be right back.” And with that, the first officer stormed off the plane.

Pilots storm off, 2 Chainz left hanging

With one pilot gone, 2 Chainz turned to the captain. “Is everything okay, sir?”

“Yeah, we’re okay,” the captain said, but the shrug that followed didn’t inspire much confidence.

“He doesn’t want to fly with us anymore?”

The captain just shrugged again and said, “Yeah, I’ll get back to you.”

Both pilots ended up arguing on the tarmac, in the middle of an airport full of airplanes. After what must have felt like an eternity, they came back—but the drama wasn’t over yet.

The first officer walked up to 2 Chainz and explained himself. “I want to apologize because I really had to go to the bathroom and the captain wouldn’t let me go. I said I gotta go. So I had to call the company and make a complaint about that. But otherwise everything is fine, we’re all ready to go. I want you to feel safe.”

Jet-setting chaos

This isn’t the first time rappers have had trouble with private jet pilots. Lil Wayne’s pilot once called 911 after an altercation, asking police to meet the plane once it landed. In another incident, Young Thug was kicked off a plane on the runway after his entourage allegedly disrespected a flight attendant.

As for 2 Chainz, he stayed cool, recorded the whole thing, and finally got off the ground. But the incident highlights an unsettling truth—flying private doesn’t make you immune to human drama. Even in first-class airspace, you’re still at the mercy of the crew.
