A newly released video shows a speeding pickup truck flying 100 feet through the air, clearing a three-foot brick wall, and crashing into an Oregon home. Fortunately, the family of five living inside the home escaped unharmed.

A doorbell camera captured the wild video just before 3 a.m. in Tigard, Ore. Around that same time, police officers responded to a call from a witness who had reported a truck driving recklessly and speeding.

KGW News reported that a police news release stated the driver of the pickup launched off a dirt mound, cleared a 3-foot retaining wall, and traveled roughly 100 feet through the air. The truck then came crashing down and into the home’s first-floor bathroom.

David Brudnok, who was inside the home with his wife and three kids at the time, said the 33-year-old driver of the pickup truck was initially unconscious. When he woke, he exited the vehicle under his own power. Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue crew members had to extract the passenger from the truck.

“I didn’t expect a flying truck,” Brudnok said. “I just heard this, BOOM! And the house shakes… I get down the stairs, and I realize the whole front of my house is completely just gone.”

The homeowner said water and debris was flying everywhere

“I got woken up, just the slamming and the house rumbled and like, it was, it was crazy,” Brudnok told KOIN News. “And then my wife was, was knitting in the room just right there and I heard her start screaming my name.”

The Tigard Police Department charged the driver of the pickup truck with reckless driving and recklessly endangering. Police said the driver and the passenger each suffered minor injuries.
