A tow truck driver steals a Kansas City car in under two minutes

22-year-old Mayci of Kansas City, Missouri, just wants her car back. However, she is losing hope because police officers haven’t been able to locate it for months.

She parked her car in a legal spot by her apartment and went to work. Before leaving her car in that location, she got permission from building management to use that particular space. Then, after her shift, the vehicle was gone.

Mayci didn’t know what happened until she saw a surveillance camera of a tow truck driver quickly hauling the vehicle away. It pulled up during broad daylight hours, and the driver jumped out.

He managed to hook up the car and drive off with it in about one minute and 41 seconds. The truck didn’t have any markers on it. However, the city requires tow companies to mark trucks with identifying features.

According to Fox 4 KC, no one called for a tow, and police officers haven’t been much help. She keeps trying to follow up but gets placed on hold and then is bounced around to different departments.

The police department shared that it will investigate the predatory towing as long as the illegal acts continue. Mayci has lost hope as the police don’t seem to be proactive in this case.
