Pennsylvania trucker follows female truck stop worker home
A trucker took things to a new level of cringe when he followed a woman home in Pennsylvania. The woman works at a truck stop that the man regularly frequents. Fellow employees have noticed his fixation on the woman for years.
Pennsylvania trucker follows woman home
First of all, this article isn’t to dump on truckers. Semi-truck drivers are often hard working individuals struggling with long days and being away from home.
But recently, a bad apple caught my attention. 34-year-old Michael Jame Lender has been acting creepy around a female truck stop employee.
He regularly stops at a Westmoreland County truck stop where the woman is a cashier. According to WPXI, Lander tried speaking with the woman privately for two years at the Citgo in Smithton.
But she declined and this didn’t stop him from trying to connect with her. Allegedly, he repeatedly left his phone number on her car. Plus, he offered a coworker $150 in exchange for her number.
Later that day, she felt like an SUV was following her home from work. It pulled in behind her in her driveway. Then Lender got out, and she screamed at him to leave.
Police officers rushed to the scene to apprehend Lender. He is charged with stalking, harassment, and trespassing. Using his own car to follow her was more inconspicuous than his semi-truck.
Lender already knew her work schedule, and now he knows where she lives. It’s unclear if he will serve jail time, and his preliminary hearing is on August 27. However, I hope he learns his lesson so the truck stop employees are kept safe.
