‘He Made Very Poor Decisions’ Florida Trucker Gets Over 100 Years in Prison For Strip Club Murder
It doesn’t matter that a Florida trucker doesn’t have a history of crime or violence. He still made drunken decisions that led to vehicular manslaughter. The driver murdered people while crashing into a strip club and faces another 100 years in prison.
Florida trucker gets over 100 years in prison for murder
Police officers quickly responded to reports of an accident in Tampa, Florida, around 4:20 AM. The incident occurred around 4:20 AM at the Emperor’s Gentleman Club at 5718 E. Adamo Drive.
The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Dylan Fogal, is a Florida trucker who caused chaos from behind the wheel. He was removed from the strip club due to inappropriate behavior.
Then he climbed into his semi-truck and struck the side of the building. One person was killed, and two others were severely injured during the collision.
According to WTSP, Fogal had a blood-alcohol content above the legal 0.08 limit. Also, the incident was caught on surveillance cameras. Fogal was charged with murder, attempted murder, vehicular homicide, and DUI.
In December, he was found guilty on all counts and got a mandatory sentence of life in prison. On Monday, he got a maximum sentence on all remaining charges of 100 years in prison.
His mother shared that he isn’t that person. He would stop to help anybody. Also, he would give you the shift off his back. Plus, his lack of a violent history was noted.
But Hillsborough County State Attorney Suzy Lopez shared, “This is a man who didn’t have a prior criminal history. But he was here on business and made some very, very poor decisions that have affected the rest of his life and the lives of many families.”
