It can be extremely dangerous to intervene with a carjacker. However, I sympathize with the Ohio man for fighting for his truck. He said his truck is his baby, and I can relate. Loving a truck comes with tons of emotion and you want to protect them like your own.

Ohio man fights with carjacker to save his truck at gas station

Daniel Jordan was pumping gas in Harrison, Ohio when a carjacker approached him at the UDF on State Street. The suspect got behind the wheel of his truck while he was at a gas pump.

Jordan immediately dropped the pump as the suspect yelled at him to get away from the vehicle. But he refused and climbed in the passenger seat. Jordan wasn’t going to let some stranger take his beloved ride.

The thief floored it and Jordan climbed over him, turning the wheel. According to Local 12, the truck did a few donuts and hit a curb with the passenger door open. Jordan thought he would go through the door, truck bed, and windshield to get to the carjacker

He told the suspect, “You’re not stealing my truck, it’s never going to happen. My truck is my baby, and it’s not going anywhere. Then he reached over, put the vehicle in park, and shut off the ignition.

Jordan choked the suspect out and held him as the police immediately arrived. Police officers were surprised to see the suspect, 27-year-old Jordan Kuhn already detained. Luckily, the suspect didn’t have a gun or any other weapon or the situation could have turned deadly.

The truck wasn’t damaged and no injuries occurred. Kuhn was charged with aggravated robbery and obstruction of official business for providing a fake name at first.
