Pennsylvania truck driver ignores road closure signs and gets instant karma
The temptation to go around road closure signs exists. But do your best to ignore it as the signs are there for a reason. One truck driver in Pennsylvania learned this lesson the hard way and now his Toyota Tacoma is beyond repair.
Pennsylvania man ignores road closure signs and destroys truck
Please, participate in a moment of silence for an innocent truck that was totaled too soon. Another Toyota Tacoma became the victim of its owner’s dumb idea.
A man was driving on the 100 block of Octorar Road in Sadsbury Township when he came across road closure signs. He decided to ignore them, and the Keystone Valley Fire Department immediately received reports of an accident.
Firefighters determined that the driver crashed on a closed bridge and became stuck on top of a cement barrier, according to Local 12 News. As a result, gas, oil, and other contaminating fluids leaked into the creek below.
An ambulance and emergency responders arrived on scene moments later. However, luckily, no one was injured. The only losses involve damage to a Toyota Tacoma and construction site.
I’m assuming that police officers arrived to talk with the driver. It’s illegal and dangerous to go around road closure signs. Doing so may result in fines, license points, or jail time.
The signs indicate unsafe conditions or legal restrictions on travel. Road Closed signs mean that no vehicles are permitted to enter the area. Drivers should use a detour or alternative route.
I also wonder if the truck driver was drunk. He had to be traveling at a high speed to land on top of a cement barrier!
