Semi-truck filled with beer gets split in half by train
Sorry, you missed National Beer Day. That was on April 7th, and police officers in Texas got to celebrate in a unique way. They spent hours picking up beer cans and debris after a train split a semi-truck carrying pallets of beer in half.
Police officers immediately responded to the scene after the train collided with a tractor-trailer along Hicks Field Road and Saginaw Boulevard, north of Saginaw in Tarrant County.
Witnesses said beer cans exploded through the air with a loud bang and the train kept on going. Officers confirmed no one was injured during the wreck.
According to WFAA, business owners shared concerns about the crossing being dangerous. This isn’t the first time that a massive accident has occurred there. The crossing is at the only entrance to a large industrial park.
As a Union Pacific Railroad worker repaired the train crossing arm, police officers directed traffic. Some trucks sat on Highway 287 for hours as crews worked to clean up debris. Traffic couldn’t resume until the tractor-trailer and debris were hauled away.
Crazy Cowboy was the type of beer that was lost. Unfortunately, I have never tried it or heard of it. But the name sounds very Texan. Also, I assume the train was fine as it didn’t stop.
