No one likes dealing with a towing company after their truck has been towed. It’s usually expensive, the truck can collect storage fees, and some companies can make it a pain to get the vehicle returned. Milton Murcia, a bartender in Miami Beach, Florida, took that irritation to a whole new level this week.

After his truck was towed, he was filmed by security cameras entering the yard to pay the fees and retrieve it. The interaction showed Murcia becoming irritated by the process, as an employee demanded he sign more paperwork before the fees could be paid, reported WSVN.

He asks the employee if he can grab a few items from his truck, saying he’ll return later to pay the fees. The employee let him through.

“Once you’re done grabbing your belongings, you can come this way, and I’ll give you back your ID, OK?” the employee was recorded saying.

By “items,” he meant the truck, apparently

A few moments after Murcia entered the lot, he was recorded starting the engine and flooring it trying to break through the gate.

Employees chased after Murcia as he frantically drove through the lot to find an exit. The truck was extensively damaged in the process, as he crashed into a concrete wall, a concrete pillar, and the company’s brand-new gate.

Employees called 911, and Murcia was plucked from the truck by other employees and a few strangers who saw the whole thing go down.

Now Murcia is behind bars, and his truck was hauled back into the yard – surely collecting storage fees along with the bill he’ll be handed when he’s free.
