Thieves take an unknown number of vehicles from Jeep Toledo plant

Police officers in Ohio are at a loss as they attempt to figure out who got away with an unspecified number of vehicles. Trucks and SUVs were taken around 3:30 AM from a storage lot at the Toledo Assembly Complex.

This Jeep plant builds the Wrangler and Gladiator. Also, it’s been building Jeep SUVs since 1910. Anyways, the heist started as a brand-new vehicle was taken from the LEDAC lot on 4015 Stickney Avenue.

Then the vehicle was rammed into a gate at a storage lot, allowing thieves in other trucks and SUVs to drive away. The drivers fled, heading northbound on Stickney Avenue.

According to WTOL, the police report shares that there is no definitive information about the number or makes of the stolen vehicles at the time of the report.

A spokesperson with Stellantis shares that it’s working with the Toledo Police Department regarding the theft of several vehicles. The lot is managed by a third party near the Toledo Assembly Complex.

As there is an ongoing investigation into the incident, the company isn’t providing additional information about the incident. However, it would probably help if the officers knew how many vehicles they need to find and what type they’re looking for.

Anyone with related information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-111.
