You’ve heard of curbside pickup—now meet curbside kickup. In LA’s Fairfax District, thieves crashed a Camry into a high-end sneaker shop, snatched armfuls of shoes, and ghosted through the gate like it was a release drop.

Smash-and-grabbers crash Camry into Fairfax sneaker store

Early Friday morning, a group of burglars executed a smash-and-grab at Solestage, a popular sneaker store in Los Angeles’ Fairfax District. Surveillance footage captured the moment a blue Toyota Camry crashed through the store’s gate, allowing at least three suspects to enter. They quickly grabbed merchandise, stuffed it into a large plastic bag or tarp, and dragged it under the gate. They fled the scene, leaving the car behind.

The exact value of the stolen items is currently unknown. The suspects all wore hoodies and masks. Police are actively investigating and urge anyone with information to come forward. The suspects will have high tops and low morals.

This incident adds to a series of similar crimes in the area, raising concerns among local business owners about the increasing boldness of such thefts. One neighboring business owner expressed frustration, stating, “The effort you got to put into just cleaning up, let alone making sure that the kids and certain people have jobs. So you know what I’m saying? It’s heartbreaking, bro.”

The owner of Solestage lamented the timing of the burglary, noting, “Now the people that’s going on vacation to come out here, we’re gonna be closed for who knows how long because the glass takes three weeks and then the door, it’s just complicated, man.” Talk about a real heel turn for business.

The Camry’s toast, the gate’s wrecked, and Solestage is out a wall of Jordans. But for now, the suspects are still on the run. Maybe in brand-new sneakers. But they sold their souls for those soles. You can see the security camera footage embedded below:
