Texas women lead police on chase “naked as a jaybird”–twice!
There must be something in the water in the town of Baytown, Texas. Local women have decided to lead the poor police department on a chase around town while not wearing any clothes. And not just once. They’ve done it twice! The first time was in 2008, and the copycat crime was in 2018.
2008 police chase: “Naked as a jaybird!”
Baytown, Texas, saw its first naked car chase in 2008—and it was a wild one. Officer Fowler was called in for a green SUV, speeding down the highway with its flashers on. When he caught up he radioed back to base, shock in his voice: “She’s naked as a jaybird!” The driver continue to weave through traffic, reaching 80 mph and even taking the chase off road, all while the police chased her.
Two unmarked pickups joined the excitement. One was driven by an off-duty police officer, the other by a furious good Samaritan. The woman rammed the civilian’s truck, forcing it across two lanes of traffic. The off-duty officer shouted, “I don’t know how many cars she’s knocked off the road!” He added, “She’s still got the pedal to the metal!”
They finally boxed her in on a two-lane road. Fowler drew his gun and yelled, “Get out of the car! Get out of the car!” She surrendered, still naked. That’s when Fowler’s backup finally arrived. He only had one request, “I don’t have a towel to put around her.”

2018 incident: Clothes out the window
A decade later, Baytown faced déjà vu. In 2018, 26-year-old Attaree Milton led police officers on another naked chase. It started when her car was spotted parked sideways on a highway. When police approached, Milton sped off, running red lights and tossing her clothes out the window, one garment at a time.
A witness told ABC13, “When she got out, she jumped out of the car into a ditch of water. She was completely naked. She jumped in the water and sat there for a few minutes and then crawled—crawled out and walked into the empty pasture by AutoZone.”
Perhaps Milton hoped the police officers would keep their distance if she took her clothes off. Little did she know, Baytown police had had it with naked shenanigans.
Officers ordered her to stay down. She didn’t. After multiple warnings, they deployed a taser to bring her in. According to 12 News Now, Milton was already out on parole for assaulting a peace officer. Baytown police added a new charge: evading arrest in a motor vehicle.

Two naked women. Two car chases. Two wild police chases. One small Texas town. Coincidence? Maybe. But Baytown police must be wondering what is going on. One thing’s for sure—Baytown cops should probably start keeping towels in their cruisers. Just in case.
