Los Angeles man drops a Ford Super Duty on truck with stolen tow truck

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of a stolen vehicle around 8:37 AM. But things quickly turned chaotic as the suspect was driving a stolen tow truck that he didn’t know how to operate properly.

Cameras caught the tow truck whipping around neighborhood streets with a stolen Ford Super Duty that wasn’t lashed correctly. Then the massive Ford truck slides right off the bed and lands on top of a Toyota Tundra.

Unfortunately, according to KTLA 5, the Tundra was totaled. It didn’t survive being crushed by the Super Duty. Also, this didn’t stop the truck thief from getting away, because the Super Duty only partially fell off the bed.

The driver then tried to exit the neighborhood as the Super Duty swayed in the street. Then the driver crashed into a power pole. This is when the tethers gave out, and the Ford truck rolled into the street.

But the suspect still didn’t give up. He ran away on foot, abandoning the wreckage. Police officers are still searching for the suspect. Anyone with related information is encouraged to contact local law enforcement.

You could call the suspect a lot of things, but he doesn’t seem like a quitter or a professional tow truck operator.
