Stellantis Actually Managed to Turn Jeep and Ram Around
It’s a miracle for Stellantis! After consecutive years of declining sales for Jeep and Ram, there is a glimmer of hope to celebrate. Many dealerships feel optimistic about success in 2026 as 2025 ends with positive trends, as Stellantis reverses controversial changes.
Stellantis is improving things for Jeep and Ram
Many fans of Jeep and Ram felt like Stellantis was making all the wrong decisions. For example, it was going fully electric and making high-end luxury vehicles. Most notably, it discontinued the beloved V8 HEMI engine.
After months and years of consecutive sales declines, major changes needed to be made. The first big move involved getting a new CEO, Anthony Filosa, who is focused on providing a mix of powertrain options.
The previous CEO, Carlos Tavares, lived in Europe. His agenda included improving products in foreign markets. However, Filosa focuses on growing Stellantis in America.
During his first quarter at the helm, he achieved year-over-year sales in America and a market share increase for Jeep. This was the first positive sales impact for the brand since 2022.
Plus, according to Automotive News, he ended a five-quarter sales decline for Ram trucks in the spring. Deliveries of the Ram 1500 increased by 10%. The increase is mainly attributed to the return of the 5.7-liter V8 HEMI.
This is an impressive turn around considering the fact that Filosa just started the position in June. Dealerships know that Filosa listens to what drivers want and what they need.
Business owners feel as if they can pick up the phone and connect with Filosa to discuss products and production. The outlook for 2026 is extremely positive at the moment.
