I have good news and bad news. Stellantis just launched a new, affordable Ram 1500 trim, so that’s good! But the 2026 Ram Express is so expensive that there might be a disconnect with what drivers actually consider to be a bargain.

Stellantis launches cheaper 2026 Ram 1500 Express trim

If you’ve been waiting for something affordable like the Ram 1500 Classic to return, then you might be in luck. Stellantis just launched the new 2026 Ram 1500 Express! This truck starts at $44,495, making it roughly $3,500 more than the entry-level 2025 Ram truck.

The 2025 model starts at $40,275. On that note, the 2025 Ford F-150 has an MSR of $37,450. But of course, the Express offers additional features to sweeten the deal.

It starts off with a quad-cab and rear-wheel drive. Going for more space with the Crew Cab model increases the price to $47,245. Then if you add 4×4 the price climbs to $48,345.

This truck has standard 20-inch wheels, the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine with 305 hp. You can upgrade to the 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six engine with 420 hp for $1,695. This allows the truck to tow up to 11,550 lbs.

To give the Express a unique look, opt for the $995 Black Express package. According to Road and Track, the package includes black badging, black 20-inch wheels, side steps, a sports hood, black cloth bucket seats, and a 7.0-inch gauge cluster.

Those who want to jump on the 2026 Ram 1500 Express can expect deliveries to start in September. Also, the average price for a new vehicle is a crippling $48,461.
