Stabbing at Ford F-150 factory
Workplace drama is a fact of life. But most of us won’t have to deal with anything worse than a bit of gossiping. Not so at Ford’s Kentucky F-150 factory. An argument between two independent contractors there devolved into a stabbing.
After a shocking knife attack, Ford Louisville had to scramble its in-house medical team and call the local police department. Louisville Metro Police Department arrived at 8 AM on Friday May 30th. Officers arrested an independent contractor named Yosvani Gozales Diaz over the stabbing. Another contractor caught a ride to the University of Louisville hospital for knife wounds.
There’s no official statement on the man’s stab wounds, but he was released from the hospital soon after intake. Diaz, however, is facing assault charges with a $15,000 bail.
A Ford spokesperson said “We are grateful for the quick response from our medical team and for the collaboration of the Louisville Police Department.” They also added “Safety is Kentucky Truck Plant’s top priority.”
Ford was also quick to add that the two men don’t technically work for Ford, but are independent contractors who work at the plant. You can see more coverage of the incident in the video embedded below:
