I have rare good news! An Ohio man survived a truck crash thanks to three witnesses who saw the accident and rushed to help. The driver of a Dodge Ram truck swerved off the road, flipped into a creek, and nearly drowned.
Witnesses pull Ohio man from submerged truck
During the middle of Sunday afternoon, a pickup truck left the roadway near Keith and 20th Street. The vehicle flipped over and landed on its roof in Mouse Creek.
Three Cleveland residents witnessed the accident and didn’t hesitate to help. They jumped out of their cars and rushed down the bank. They entered the water and pulled the driver out of the Dodge Ram before he drowned.
The men were able to pull the man to safety before firefighters, police officers, and emergency services arrived. According to Local 3 News, the driver was transported to a local hospital by Bradley County EMS.
The man’s condition is currently unknown. I hope to see a follow-up on this soon because I have a few questions. For example, what caused the wreck?
Was the driver speeding? Maybe he was on his phone or got distracted by something else. Also, was he intoxicated or driving tired? Driving tired can be just as dangerous as driving drunk.
Heavy machinery was probably used to pull the truck out of the water. Hopefully, it didn’t leak oils or other pollutants. But at the end of the day, thank goodness that three brave people were there. They saved a life, providing us with good news to share.
