Police officers in Georgia had their hands full with a 78-year-old man. The suspect was identified at Tommy Moore of Hickory Drive. Despite being elderly, Moore shows no signs of slowing down.
He was driving his SUV on Monday afternoon when he suddenly turned off the pavement. He left Moss Road in Winterville and went 60 feet or so through the woods.
Police officers trailed his Chevrolet Blazer as it went off-roading. Additionally, depending on the model, the Blazer involved is either a classic SUV that deserves an upgrade or a modern city SUV. Either way, it was loaded with contraband.
According to Classic City News, Moore smelled like marijuana and alcohol. After searching the Chevy Blazer, officers found a bottle of homemade moonshine, empty beer cans, unopened beer cans, and weed.
Moore told officers that marijuana would be found in his blood because he smokes it every day. At least he’s honest, right? He was declined treatment by emergency medical technicians (EMTs). So, it doesn’t sound like he was injured.
However, Moore was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of multiple substances, possession of moonshine, and possession of open containers of alcohol in a vehicle.
Unfortunately, his blood alcohol content wasn’t shared. But mixing moonshine and beer probably put him over the legal limit of 0.08%. Now he’s sobering up behind bars.
