You may have noticed that truck loans have gotten longer. That’s why Ram trucks are offering an extended warranty that provides production for much longer than rivals. It also helps drivers feel more confident as the Ram brand takes a dip in quality rankings.

Ram trucks keep the extended warranty

Back in 2025, Stellantis launched a longer warranty for Ram trucks. These pickups are covered for 10 years or 100,000 miles. However, this deal was supposed to end on January 2, 2026.

After receiving overwhelming feedback from sealers and customers, Stellantis has decided to keep the longer warranty going. Plus, the offer extends to cover more vehicles.

It covers the 2026 Ram 1500, 2500, 3500 trucks as well as Chassis Van 3500, 4500, 5500 trucks. Plus, the TRX, RHO, and Powerwagon and ProMaster vans are covered. However, electric vehicles are excluded.

The longer warranty arrived as the Ram brand took a tumble in the New Vehicle Quality Study rankings. Ram dropped from first place to 25th with 218 problems reported per 100,000 vehicles. The average is 192 problems per 100,000 vehicles.

The Ford F-150 and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 warranties both cover five years or 60,000 miles. However, 80% of new truck loans now exceed five years.

According to AutoBlog, the limited powertrain warranty covers the engine, transmission, transfer case, driveshafts, differentials, and axles. It’s available for purchases and leases by individuals and businesses, excluding fleet purchases.

Plus, Canadian drivers get the same deal! However, the warranty is only valid for the original buyer. Those who purchase a used 2026 Ram 1500 shouldn’t expect to have the same support.
