Police Release Video Of Vince McMahon’s 115 MPH Chase And Crash
Wrestling fans may have feared the worst: The same day legend Hulk Hogan died, former WWE CEO Vince McMahon Jr. was involved in a three-car crash. The images were dramatic, showing cars that had been traveling in opposite directions with their airbags deployed. Luckily McMahon and the other two drivers were fine.
The crash occurred in July 2025. In October, a Connecticut judge ruled that McMahon could completely resolve the charges if he entered a pretrial program. And like that, any further criminal charges evaporated.
His attorney said, “Vince’s primary concern during this case was for the other drivers and (he) is appreciative that the court saw this as more of an accident than a crime that needed to be prosecuted.”
But the verdict and statement didn’t solve the mystery of what actually happened. Then the police released the body cam footage of the police officer who responded to the crash.
The truth about Vince McMahon Jr.’s 100 mph police chase and crash
It turns out the officer was chasing McMahon’s Bentley coupe, because the retired promoter was doing over 100 mph along a Westport parkway. McMahon attempted a rapid lane change, and struck the back of a convertible, sending it careening off the road. Then he hit the wooden guard rail dividing the parkway so hard, debris struck an oncoming car and deployed its airbags.
After the police officer confirmed that McMahon didn’t need an ambulance he demanded, “Why were you driving over 100 mph?”
McMahon’s frustrated response: “It’s my granddaughter’s birthday. I gotta get—it’s the next exit.”
So then the officer asked, “Did you see me trying to catch up to you, behind you?” (Which translates to, “Why were you evading the police?”)
McMahon admitted, “I saw the lights, but it…looked normal.”
The police officer repeated, “Yeah, I’m trying to catch up to you and you keep taking off.”
McMahon insisted, “I’m not trying to outrun you.”
That’s when the police officer admitted, “I know. I understand that. But that’s why I was very confused…You almost hit, I think, 115 miles per hour. And then you just hit someone because you weren’t paying attention. Were you looking at your phone?”
“No, trying to drive.”
“The person was right in front of you.”
“I haven’t been driving my car in God knows how long.”
The officer later said, “It’s fast, I’ll tell you that.”
McMahon responded, “Too f—-ing fast!”
