‘Criminal Indicators’ Indiana Police Find 309 lbs of Cocaine Hidden in Semi-Truck
State Police in Indiana were in for a shock as they stopped a semi-truck. Something about the trucker seemed off, so they brought a K9 to the scene. It managed to sniff out 309 lbs of cocaine hidden in the trailer.

Police officers in Indiana were performing a routine Department of Transportation compliance inspection of a semi-truck when things took a sudden turn.
The inspection took place on Interstate 70 in Putnam County. A state trooper stopped the blue International truck near mile marker 41.
Officers share that “criminal indicators” were observed during the conversations with the driver. This led to calling a K9 officer to the scene.
The good boy officer gave a positive alert, providing probably-cause to search the tractor-trailer that was heading from Joplin, Missouri, to Richmond, Indiana.
According to Bloomingtonian, 309 lbs of cocaine were found under the sleeper berth. This has an estimated street value of about $7 million.
Two men were in the truck. They are identified as 25-year-old Gurpreet Singh and 30-year-old Jasveer Singh. They’re both from California and were arrested and charged with dealing in narcotics, a level 2 felony.
The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed deportation holds on both of them. Also, they will be taken into federal immigration custody.
Indiana Governor Mike Braun applauds the seizure. He shared, “Indiana has zero tolerance for drug traffickers. Through coordinated efforts with federal and local partners, Indiana State Police are proactively stopping drugs from entering local communities.
