The Best-Selling Nissan SUV Has a Dangerous Problem With No Solution
Uh oh, one Nissan SUV is struggling across the globe. Drivers are reporting that the Nissan Rogue has a dangerous problem that mechanics can’t fix. In most cases, the problem can’t even be replicated, leaving owners out of luck.
The Nissan Rogue keeps randomly shutting down
Drivers are getting fed up waiting for answers as their Nissan Rogue SUVs continue to struggle with a dangerous problem. People have been complaining about this problem in the United States and other countries around the world, where the Rogue is known as the X-Trail.
Thousands of owners have shared that their Rogue models suddenly lose power while driving. But mechanics are failing to duplicate the problem. They aren’t finding any trouble codes or obvious signs of concerning problems.
According to AutoBlog, vehicle failure occurs without even triggering a warning light. As drivers wonder if their SUVs are safe, there is also a notable increase in complaints about the electrical system.
Some theories suggest that the failures are related to the crankshaft, camshaft, and position sensors. As a result, technicians recommend replacing them all.
Also, the problem could be related to the electrical ground, and there are reports of improvements after replacing the batteries.
There are also recalls related to the engine and transmission that may not have corrected the initial failure. In 2021-2024 models, the turbo engine bearings could cause engine failure. The engines are being repaired free of charge.
But not every shutdown complaint aligns with the recall criteria. Owners feel as if the problem hasn’t been adequately addressed.
