A Nissan driver just went viral for leaving the Taco Bell drive thru with a bang.

Hitting the Taco Bell drive thru is a pastime many Americans have taken part of. Taco Bell is known for Crunchwrap Supremes, Doritos Locos tacos, and Mountain Dew Baja Blast; but in this viral video the drive thru exit stole the show.

In a TikTok that’s generated over 1 million views as of this writing, content creator (@wnc.bs) posts how a Nissan driver hits the curb on the way out of the Taco Bell drive thru.

Can’t Hit Curbs In Private Anymore

In the TikTok, a bystander films a Taco Bell customer leaving the drive thru and it doesn’t go smoothly.

A Nissan driver is patiently waiting to leave the Taco Bell drive thru, but has a unique terrain to deal with. The exit is on a slightly steep hill with a sidewalk dividing the exit and road. The car must transition from the sidewalk into the street as it moves through the slope.

The Nissan is positioned poorly for a smooth exit and the bystander begins to film. The front right wheel is set up to jump the curb onto the sidewalk before reaching the road

“He’s going to hit that curb. Watch,” the bystander notices.

There is an opening in the lane and the Nissan driver goes to drive onto the road. With the car’s poor positioning, the first wheel jumps the curb. The car lands on the sidewalk as the car keeps progressing forward to complete the turn.

When entering the lane, the back right tire also hops the curb and lands on the sidewalk. The bumpy transition eventually leads to the driver making the turn. Not one, but two curbs were jumped to make this turn out of the Taco Bell drive thru.

“Told y’all,” the bystander concludes.

“Is you psychic!?” one TikTok commenter added.

“Curb hoppin at taco bell,” another replied.

“I mean, at least it’s actually getting treated like an SUV,” a third replied.

Running over the curb is never a fun feeling, so running over two curbs on the way out of a Taco Bell drive thru stings.

Commenters Chimed In On This Nissan Driver

Viewers added their commentary around hitting curbs when driving.

“Can’t hit curbs in private anymore,” one TikTok commenter added.

“I hit the curb at Walmart every damn week without fail,” one shared.

“Not going to lie, Taco Bell be having some of the worst drive thru’s,” a third replied.

While other commenters noticed this action was done by a Nissan driver which they believe that checks out.

“Nissan driver activities,” one TikTok commenter added.

“Nissan… checks out,” another replied.

Why Do Nissan Drivers Have A Bad Reputation?

The internet doesn’t have the nicest things to say about Nissan drivers. The negative stereotypes around Nissan usually involve Nissan Altima drivers, GT Planet reports.

These labels for Nissan Altima drivers include being awful drivers and having a bad credit score as described in this meme. The car community on Reddit will take turns poking fun at Nissan Altima drivers.

The stereotype includes Altima drivers running red lights, driving recklessly, and weaving in and out of traffic when driving.

So when it comes to this Nissan driver hopping the curbs at the Taco Bell drive thru, viewers believe it makes sense based on previous stereotypes.

In any case, this wasn’t a Nissan Altima, this is a Nissan Murano. The viewers did enjoy connecting the dots and stereotyping the two car models together.

“In a brand new 60k car by the way,” one TikTok commenter shared.

“Brand new Nissan Murano,” another replied.

What Happens To Your Car When You Hit Curbs?

Hitting a curb is never a fun feeling to experience. Especially considering the amount of damage it can cause to your vehicle. According to CarStar, here are the following areas of your vehicle that can be impacted when you hit a curb:

  1. Tire Damage: Curbs can cause tears, punctures, and sidewall scraping in the tire.
  2. Rim or Wheel Damage: This can affect steering wheel handling and fuel efficiency. Additionally the alignment of the car can be put off and can increase vibrations while driving at high speeds.
  3. Transmission Damage: Curb impact can affect shifting gears, fluid line leaks, and cables disconnecting from transmission. Any grinding, clunking, or issues with shifting may be a sign the transmission was impacted while hopping the curb.
  4. Exhaust System Damage: Impacts the muffler, brackets, hangers, and worst case catalytic converter.
  5. Suspension Damage: Suspension components including tie rods, control arms, sway bar, struts/shocks, and wheel bearings can all be damaged.

Insurance will cover any damage to the car when hitting a curb if your policy includes collision insurance, Progressive reports.
