Are you for defunding the HOA or neighborhood watch? One truck owner might be after getting attacked by a neighborhood watchman in a golf cart. He repeatedly hit the man and his truck with the golf cart until real police officers showed up.

Neighborhood watchman attacks a truck with a golf cart

It’s hard to determine how much authority neighborhood watch members have. They try to reduce crime in the neighborhood, sometimes with the help of local police departments.

One man in Florida let his neighborhood watch power go to his head. According to Your Observer, a watchman tried to confront a man who he thought was speeding through the neighborhood in his truck.

He went to the man’s home and began taking photos of the truck and tried to talk to him about his alleged crimes. But the truck driver ignored him.

This made the neighborhood watchman get frustrated, so he jumped in his golf cart in a rage. He rammed the truck, scratching its front bumper.

The truck owner tried to drive away, but the watchman rammed into him again. He smashed the windshield of the golf cart and cut the man’s arm open.

This incident caused real police officers to show up and assess the situation. But apparently, everyone became friends by the end of the day.

The neighborhood watch member apologized and offered to cover the damage he caused with cash. They asked police officers to be documented and take no further action. But in my humble opinion, the damaged gold cart shouldn’t be repaired with HOA funds!
