A teen driver from Nebraska had his new Audi S5 impounded just four days after getting it. Why? He was caught driving it at 133 mph.

The 19-year-old not only lost his brand-new high-performance sports car, but he also spent some time behind bars. Not only that, he is going to have to pay a pretty penny in fines and to get his new Audi S5 back, plus he probably won’t be doing much driving of any kind for some time.

“Young folks in Douglas County: Please don’t do this. This behavior is deadly, for you and the innocent people around you. Tip: Drive like you would with your grandma in the car,” the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) wrote in a Facebook post with the heading: “New car. Bad decisions.”

The Sheriff’s Office reported that it was just after 11 p.m. Saturday night when an officer with the Omaha Community Action Team was out on patrol. It was then that deputies observed the Audi S5 traveling eastbound on West Dodge Road near 137th Street at a “blazing 133 miles per hour.” That’s right, he was, allegedly, doing 133 in town.

“Even the Lidar had to do a double take at the ludicrous speed,” the Sheriff’s Office joked.

DCSO went on to describe how officers observed the 19-year-old “threading the needle between six other cars” in his Audi S5, “trying to get to the fast lane without signaling.”

Naturally, this caught the officers’ attention, and they thus pulled him over and arrested him. The teen was booked on charges of willful reckless driving, failure to signal, no proof of insurance, and exceeding the speed limit by 36+ mph (58+ km/h). If convicted of the willful reckless driving offense, he will have his driver’s license revoked for a period of one month to one year.

Perhaps making matters even worse for the teen, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office also turned his arrest into a dank meme.
