The most comfortable full-size truck is surprising
It’s official, drivers have spoken. They responded to surveys to determine which full-size truck is the most comfortable option. Honestly, the results are surprising because I drive all the trucks, and I don’t agree.
What is the most comfortable full-size truck?
According to J.D.Power, the most comfortable full-size truck is the Chevrolet Silverado. Or at least, it has the most comfortable front seats.
I’m shocked because I spend plenty of weeks behind the wheel of trucks, and the Silverado doesn’t come to mind in terms of comfort. The model I had with cloth seats lacked padding, and the leather upholstery doesn’t improve things much.
But I would take the Silverado’s seats over the leather seats in the Toyota Tundra. I also rank the GMC Sierra and Ram 1500 ahead of the Silverado.
Overall, the most comfortable full-size pickup to me is the Ford F-150, especially with the seats that fold flat for napping. But I’m not the size of an average truck owner. I’m 5’1” and trucks are typically designed for tall men.
J.D.Power determined which cars have the most comfortable seats with its 2024 U.S. Seat Quality and Satisfaction Study.
It measures seat quality based on the number of problems and level of satisfaction experienced per 100 vehicles during the first 90 days of ownership.
Drivers report on seat controls, memory settings, massage functions, seat adjustment range, headrest comfort, seat material, and scuff/soil.
This time around, the study used responses from 92,694 vehicle owners. Seat and powertrain are the two categories that influence vehicle appeal and satisfaction the most.
