Mississippi Chick-fil-A Road Rage Shooting Stopped by Steel-Toed Boots
This might be the most “Mississippi” road rage story you’ll read this month. Kyle Maurice Ramos, 39, allegedly followed another driver into a Chick-fil-A parking lot in Flowood and shot at them. Disaster was averted when the victim’s steel-toed boots stopped the bullet.
What police say happened in the parking lot
The Flowood Police Department has not revealed what ignited the road rage incident. Authorities also have not said why Ramos allegedly aimed at the other driver’s foot. The investigation remains ongoing.
Police charged Ramos with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is also a convicted felon, so he faces a charge of illegal possession of a firearm. Authorities are holding him without bail.
