The Miami Beach Police Department knows exactly how to create a viral reel. It posted its security footage of Gregory Yearty. The suspect slithered his way into the valet parking key room of the Setai Hotel. Set to the theme of the Pink Panther (Embedded below). Yearty’s ridiculous-looking 2024 heist was targeting luxury car keys. He successfully nabbed four vehicles, including a Rolls-Royce and G Wagon. The haul was worth $2 Million.

The Police Department wrote, “the Setai Hotel’s parking garage. Surveillance footage revealed Mr. Yearty low-crawling into a valet key room, removing several fobs, and later fleeing with four luxury vehicles.”

The Police Department is a long cry from Peter Sellers’ bumbling, inept “Inspector Clouseau” from the Pink Panther heist movies. The Department recapped. “Through investigative means, detectives were able to positively identify Mr. Yearty, who later surrendered at Miami Beach Police Headquarters. The defendant was charged with four counts of Grand Theft and Burglary/Occupied Structure/Travel.”

Chief Wayne Jones said, “The increase in high-end vehicle thefts is a concerning trend nationwide, and Miami Beach is not immune.” The Chief added, “Let this, and other successful apprehensions, be a clear message: if you come to Miami Beach to victimize our residents and visitors you will be held accountable. We will not tolerate those who think they can prey on our community without consequences.”

Police are still seeking Yearty’s accomplices. They have yet to recover the vehicles.
