A $584,000 Mercedes-AMG G 63 mysteriously vanished during transit from New York to Nevada. Understandably, the company would like to know why.

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA, in particular, is who wants to know where the luxury SUV went. So now they are suing the transport brokers and carriers, seeking answers.

According to the complaint obtained by Automotive News, a man named William Costa purchased the Mercedes-AMG G 63 in December 2024 for $583,689. He financed $437,268 of the purchase price with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services.

The tale of the missing Mercedes-AMG G 63 has many twists and turns

The luxury SUV was bought from Mercedes-Benz of Brooklyn in New York. Costa hired transport brokers Carpool Logistics to ship the vehicle from Brooklyn to Henderson, Nevada.

Carpool Logistics, then, according to the complaint, subcontracted the SUV’s shipping to Deep Xpress. The job was then subcontracted again to Dreamwork Towing.

Dreamwork Towing picked up the Mercedes-AMG G 63 in January 2025 at the dealership. This much is known, but that is also where things start to get murky.

After picking up the SUV, Dreamwork Towing then transferred it to carrier G Quality Transportation “at a retail parking lot” later that same day.

Six days later, the lawsuit claims, the G 63 was delivered by G Quality “to the side of a road” in Los Angeles. The transport company said it “was paid cash on delivery for its services.” Remember, the SUV was supposed to be shipped to Henderson, Nevada. Not 300 miles away in California.

But wait, there’s more. In the complaint, G Quality said a different broker, Swift Auto Transportation, hired them to transport the SUV from Brooklyn to California. However, in an email to Automotive News, G Quality said they were hired by yet another company, Central Dispatch, to ship the SUV, and that it “was delivered as instructed.” Confused? Perhaps that’s the point.

After the G 63 arrived in Los Angeles, Carpool Logistics, the original broker, reported the SUV stolen. It has yet to be recovered. And that’s why Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA is now suing multiple transport brokers and carriers.
