A man in North Carolina was just trying to fill up his truck when another person ruined his day. The suspect got aggressive and set his Ford F-150 on fire and covered the man in gas in an attempt to kill him. 

North Carolina man sets truck on fire and sprays owner with gas 

As a man was filling his truck with gas in North Carolina, he was approached by a rough-looking guy. The suspect, identified as 59-year-old Tipp An Neilson of Newport, asked the victim for a ride. 

But the victim said no as witnesses reported a disturbance to the police. When they arrived, they discovered that the suspect set the victim’s Ford F-150 on fire. 

Neilson also sprayed the victim with gasoline and began to physically assault him. Investigators shared that Neilson said, “I’m going to kill you” in a manner that witnesses believed he fully intended to carry out. 

According to WCTI 12, police officers shared that the burning didn’t occur in a commercial structure. It was carried out with the intent to injure or prejudice the victim. 

To make things worse for himself, Neilson resisted rest. He tried to flee from police officers as they issued verbal commands to stop. But they finally managed to take him into custody. 

Neilson was arrested and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, felony burning of personal property, communicating threats, and resisting a public officer. 

No one was injured during the incident. However, the man who was minding his own business needs a new Ford F-150.
