True crime alert! Two bodies were abandoned in the back of a pickup truck in the Santa Cruz mountains. However, California police officers got a new break in the case. They made an arrest and the incident may have been started due to a rent dispute.

California police arrest man in case of two bodies in an abandoned truck

Last month, California police officers made a grim discovery. Two bodies were in the back of a pickup truck that was abandoned up in the Santa Cruz mountains, near Los Gatos.

The victims, Colter White and Sean Pefeffer, were shot to death the day before and then left in the vehicle. When they were discovered, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was placed over their bodies.

66-year-old James David Collier of Boulder was arrested in connection to the murders. Allegedly he had a rent dispute with at least one of the men before they went missing.

They were trying to evict Collier so the owner of the building could sell it. But he refused to leave and became aggressive. According to KUTV, a witness told police that Collier pulled out a shotgun during the confrontation and struck the man in the face.

He was also seen multiple times with an ATV and a rifle to allegedly perform maintenance in the area. Allegedly, he also confessed to the murders while drinking with a friend.

But everyone is innocent until proven guilty, right? So Collier is currently being held in jail until he makes a court appearance. I guess the rent dispute is over because Collier is now living behind bars. DUN-DUN. (That’s the Law & Order noise).
