The Jeep Wrangler flexes with a new rooftop tent concept
Have you ever owned a Jeep Wrangler and wished that camping with it was easier? Then you might be in luck. There is a new ARTT rooftop tent and awning for the Jeep Wrangler. It allows you to sleep on top of your SUV instead of inside of it.
The Jeep Wrangler shows off a new rooftop tent concept
Overlanding and camping with the Jeep Wrangler might get easier. Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) and Mopar just created the ARTT rooftop tent and awning concept. It’s designed to fit two-door and four-door Wranglers.
The setup made its debut on top of the 2025 Jeep Safari Wrangler 4xe Sunchaser concept at the 2025 Overland Export West in Flagstaff, Arizona.
In the past, getting a rooftop tent for a Wrangler has been a bit of a headache. Mounting a system to the roll cage and needing a heavy-duty roof rack to support the weight presented unique challenges.
However, the ARTT setup has a carbon fiber shell that covers all the bases. It pivots on a set of hinges on the driver’s side door with the Domestic AIR Frame. The other half pivots to the passenger side and includes a ladder.
There’s enough space inside for a queen-sized mattress. According to MotorTrend, the tent can be accessed from inside your Wrangler by removing the hardtop panels. A step covers the center console.
The awning opens to a full 270 degrees to completely shade your ride. Plus, the arms have LED lights. When the awning is out, you can still fully up the tailgate and lift window. This concept could become a reality soon.
